Creative Schools Fund

The Creative Schools Fund is a public-private initiative dedicated to expanding access to high-quality arts education for every student, in every grade, across Chicago Public Schools. As the largest annual philanthropic investment in school-based arts programming, the Fund distributes $1.5 million in grants each year, supported by Ingenuity, CPS, and the Mayor’s Office.
 

Prioritizing schools with the least systemic access to the arts, these grants not only provide immediate arts programming but also drive long-term, sustainable improvements in arts education. While leading the Fund, I had the privilege of overseeing some of the most significant investments in CPS arts education. I spearheaded system enhancements that streamlined the applicant and grantee experience, ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of funds while maximizing impact across the district.
